Cooking course - half day program

Date: 20 June 2001 10.00 a.m.

It is an unforgottable experience to visit the Main Market Hall - the pantry of Budapest, which offers a rich and colourful choice of vegetables, fruits, meats, fishes, spices and any other ingrediants of the Hungarian cuisine to the visitors. This program - organised not only for women - is a good opportunity to have shopping and preparing some typical Hungarian dishes with the instruction of a famous chef. Those taking part will not only be able to enjoy eating the result of their work but will also receive a small gift. The program ends at cca 2.00 p.m.

Excursion to Gödöllő - half day program

Date: 19 June 2001 10.00 a.m.

The excursion will leave for Gödöllő at 9.00 a.m. During the program our guests visit the Grassalkovich Royal Palace, the biggest Baroque style castle in Middle Europa. The Palace is known as the favourite summer residence of Elisabeth 'Sissi', Queen of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Coffee and cakes will be served in the Café of the Royal Palace.

Visit the Opera House - half day program

Date: 21 June 2001 2.00 p.m.

This programme offers our guests a guided tour in the Hungarian Opera House, behind the stage, then travelling by the Millenium Underground Railway, which was built at the end of the XIXth century, as a first one in the Continent. After this advantage our guests may have a rest in the traditional Gerbaud Confectionary and taste the famous cakes and coffee..

Excursion to the Danube Bend

Date: 22 June 2001 - 9 00 a.m.

The program starts at 9.00 a.m. departing by bus from the hotels for Szentendre, the small picturesque baroque town . Short walking tour in the city, visiting the Kovács Margit Ceramic Museum , named by the world-famous ceramist. We continue the route to Visegrád, visiting the medival ruines of the Citadel offering a fantastic panorama to the Danube bend region. Lunch in the Renaissance Restaurant..

Afternoon travel to Esztergom, centre of the catholic church and visit the famous Basilica which is the biggest church in Hungary with its 100 m high cupole.

Arrival to Budapest: 6.00 p.m.

Price: EU 50 /person

All programs include the costs of transportation, English speaking guide, entrance fees according to the itinerary. Programs will be arranged in case of minimum 12 participants.
