The workshop aims to bring together researchers and developers working on object-oriented operating systems and to provide a platform for discussing problems arising from the application of object-orientation to operating systems and solutions for them.
The programme of the workshop consists of a talk given by an invited
speaker, position paper presentations, discussions, and a summary session.
Presented papers will be published in a printed version (a technical
report, probably) which will be distributed to all participants after
the workshop. The workshop summary (probably including paper summaries)
will be considered for inclusion in the ECOOP'2001 workshop reader.
The papers should be submitted in PostScript format not after April, 17th, 2001 either to ooosws-papers@gsyc.escet.urjc.es by email or to ftp://gsyc.escet.urjc.es/ooosws/papers/ by anonymous ftp. Detailed submission instructions can be found in the web site http://www.di.uniovi.es/ooosws2001/ .
If you submit by ftp, use your last name as the file name (e.g. "smith.ps"). You must put a companion ascii file with extension "txt" (e.g. "smith.txt"); the file must contain in ascii the contact author name, email, and the paper title. The directory is not readable, if you need to put your paper several times, use a number like in "smith2.ps".
Camera-ready versions of papers must be written using the LaTeX2e article class with figures in encapsulated postscript. Thus, it is advisable to use these tools to typeset the initial submission. Detailed instructions will be emailed to authors of accepted papers.
Attendance to the workshop is limited to facilitate lively discussions. Participation will be by invitation only, based on the organizing committee's evaluation of the submission. Accepted participants will be notified by April, 24th, 2001.
Accepted position papers will be distributed among the participants electronically prior to the workshop.. Accepted position papers will be distributed among the participants electronically prior to the workshop. More information can be found at the ECOOP-OOOSWS 2001 home page
